Sue studied Art & Design in the late 1970s and early 1980s at Mid and South Cheshire Colleges, and then went on to study Textile Design at Derby Lonsdale College. After many years in the textile industry, latterly as a Senior Colourist for Laura Ashley, she has worked on a freelance basis since 1990. From 1993 she studied Painting and Printmaking at the School of Art in Aberystwyth University, successfully completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Studio Studies in 1995.
